این دستگاه‌ها می‌توانند چندین خط اینترنت ADSL را مدیریت کرده و با تقسیم سرعت اینترنت برای هر کاربر شبکه‌ای با سرعت‌های مختلف دسترسی به اینترنت را فراهم کند. همچنین با سوئیچ کردن خطوط اینترنت می‌توانند در مواقعی که یک خط اینترنت قطع می‌شود، کاربران را به استفاده از خط‌های دیگر اینترنت هدایت و از قطعی اینترنت در شبکه جلوگیری کند.
