A flexible composite insulation material that exhibits high tensile strength and high tear resistance whilst maintaining high electrical strength.

Commonly used as slot liner, slot closure and phase insulation in high thermally-stressed electric motors

ISONOM® NKN 8 0886is made of Polyimide or Kapton® (Du Pont) film and it's covered on both sides with calendered Nomex®(Du Pont) type 416. Each layer of Nomex® aramid paper is 0,080 mm thick. It’s possible to obtain a wide range of laminated materials changing the thickness of the polyimide film.

Maximum working temperature:
180/200°C (IEC 60626) – H dielectric class limit
180/200°C (UL 1446) - H dielectric class limit

Minimum working temperature:
Nomex® -196°C / resin -60°C / Polyimide -60°C

Characteristics: Insulating paper suitable for transformers insulation, it can be used into the motor’s slots and in all those electrical applications that require:
excellent electrical insulation - excellent mechanical resistance – excellent thermal resistance.

Availability:Rolls up to 920 mm in width, slit rolls starting from 7 mm in height, inner diameter 76 mm.
