Product description:

Parietex™ ProGrip™ Mesh is the first bicomponent mesh comprised of monofilament polyester (PET) and a resorbable polylactic acid (PLA) gripping system.

The PLA forms the grips that will penetrate the muscle tissue and fixate the mesh.

The PLA will absorb after a certain period of time (~15 months) while the porous structure of the remaining Polyester mesh will allow connective tissue to secure the mesh in the abdominal wall.

Unique and new concept of low density self gripping mesh

The resorbable PLA micro hooks

            –facilitates the mesh fixation

            –provides the self gripping properties during the first months of implantation

The mesh can be secured around the cord with the self gripping flap and easily repositioned.

After tissular in growth and complete resorption of the polylactic acid hooks, the low weight PP insures long term reinforcement
